Schaeffler Lifetime Solutions Customer Day

In the end of September, our Lifetime Solutions team invited key customers to a Customer Day in a nice event venue in the harbor of Jyväskylä. There were participants from 6 countries and 13 organizations attending and main objective was to get to learn more about Schaeffler and its products, services and solutions as well as listen to speakers from different industrial companies and areas sharing the best maintenance practices.

During the day, the participants also had the great opportunity to visit Schaeffler’s new Show truck on one of its first stops on the European road tour. The participants learned about innovations which will make their maintenance work easier, from condition monitoring, through lubricant supply to assembly and dismantling, resulting in less downtime and the associated costs for the companies. In the truck, they experienced - interactively - not only how breakdowns can be dealt with, but how they can be avoided altogether.

For us this is a great possibility to connect with our customers and exchange learnings and ideas about maintenance solutions.

The Schaeffler Customer Day was an amazing experience. The whole setup was very good and very well organized. I especially liked the part about future OPTIME projects and development, but also other speakers' presentations and their success stories on the road to full optimization in their companies. Our key to success is offering trial period of OPTIME System to our customers. That really helps us to rapidly grow our client’s portfolio. While trying the system companies see the benefits they get from automatic analysis and alarms for emerging machine failures. The Customer Day ended with a nice dinner with all participants, both speakers and guest, and there were good opportunities to connect even more and learn from others about similar challenges and demands within the maintenance industry.

It was a very successful day where we combined good information with great collaboration and best practises. The feedback from our customers is that Schaeffler has high customer understanding that is turned into innovative, easy and cost-effective solutions. Customers also appreciated our presentation about our roadmap and innovation pipeline. According to a survey conducted after the event, the overall impression was very positive, most areas received high scores and most of our customers would be happy to join the event also next year, ends Jarno Suomela.
